Dr. Jorge Alió receives the Innovation Award José Ignacio Barraquer at the Videocatarattarefrattiva Congress, which took place on 28th and 29th October in Milan. The Congress was led by Dr. Lucio Buratto.
This year the award for innovation in Ophthalmology has been given to Prof. Jorge L. Alió for his works in keratopigmentation for therapeutic and cosmetic reasons. The award, as it can be seen in the photo, is a golden statuette which bears many similarities to Oscar. This important award is given annually to those who contribute innovative and original techniques, confirmed by ophthalmological practice, for treatment of associated diseases of the anterior segment of the eye..
